Goose Adventure Racing is pleased to announce in conjunction with Bristol Mountain ski
resort a new snowshoe race for the western NY area.
The race will be held at the newly opened Nordic Ski center at the top of Bristol Mountain
at 5589 South Hill road Canandaigua,NY 14424. THIS IS NOT the main parking lot for
Bristol Mountain Ski slope. See Directions below.
Bristol has installed Snow Making capabilities on a 1.2K loop and they have an
additional 1.8K of trail that depends on natural snow. Therefore, if mother nature does
not cooperate with us we will still be on snow and doing 5 laps of the 1.2K loop (yeah we
know) if there is enough snow we will be doing two laps of the 3K loop….With a hint of
our course design thrown in.
This event will serve as an Empire States Game qualifier.
We have decided to offer this event as a no frills low cost race opportunity so Please
note the following:
1.Entry fee paid to us is $5.00 pre-paid (before 2/1/2008) and $10 race day.
2.Trail Fee paid to Bristol Mountain. They require every one to have a trail pass.
Fee is $10 for the day to be purchased at the Nordic center day of race. OR you
can purchase a season pass for $50 any time at the Nordic center.
