Rob Feissner

Rob is a Professor of Biology at the State University of New York at Geneseo. Rob is a competitive trail and road racer and has been adventure racing for 5 years. Recent individual achievements include:

Mort Nace

Mort is the General Manager of Medved Running and Walking Outfitters in Rochester, NY. Mort has been a competitive trail racer for 25+ years and an adventure racer for over 11. Recent individual achievements include:

Five time finisher of the Pikes Peak Marathon (including a 98th overall finish in 1995)
Seventeen time finisher of races 26.2 miles or longer
Eight time qualifier for the USSSA National Snowshoe Racing Championships
Sea to Summit Two Day Stage Adventure Race, Mont Ste. Marie CAN 11/17 solo
Jay Crossover (26 mile kayak) and Jay Mountain Marathon (28 miles, 6:51:42, 60/187), 2005


Mort and Tim Ratowsi are the Founders of Goose AR and are race directors for the Muddy sneaker 20K Trail Race and Snowshoe Races.

Tim Ratowski

Tim is a bicycle service manager at RV&E in Fairport, NY.  Tim is a trail and snowshoe runner, mountain biker, orienteer, caver, backpacker, race director/course director, and high-quality weekend warrior .  Recent achievements include:

4th place 3 person coed - GMARA Frigid Infliction 10 hr AR, Bolton Valley, VT, March, 2014 
1st place, Solo Masters division—Checkpoint Tracker National Championships 30 hr AR, Nashville, TN, October, 2013
2nd place, 2 person male team - The Hardcore24 (24 hr mtn bike race), Bristol, NY, July, 2012
Race director of 2 trail races and 3 annual snowshoes races (one is a national qualifier and one is a six hour relay) and that have run consecutively for at least 16 years.

Laura Webber

Laura is a Product Support Scientist at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, a medical diagnostics company in Rochester, NY.  She is an avid backpacker, cyclist (road and mountain), skier, rock climber and has been trail running about 13 years and adventure racing for about 7 years.  Recent achievements include:

Competed at AR National Championships 2012, coed team 
10th place female — Muddy Sneaker 20K trail race, Naples, NY 2012
1st Place female, solo division — Cast a shadow 6 hour trail race, Rochester, NY, 2012
Hiked 42 of the Adirondack 46 peaks above 4000 feet (4 more to go!)


Ian and Laura are the race directors and course designers for the Medved Winter Challenge, sprint adventure race (3 years).


Ian Webber

Ian Webber is the Assistant Director of the Innovative Learning Institute at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a USA Cycling Cat.3 road racer, has completed more than 6 marathons including Boston & Pikes Peak. Ian has ben adventure racing for over 7 years. Recent achievements include:
