The MuddySneaker is a trail run in the high tor wilderness area in the finger lakes region of
New York State. It has some of the most rapid elevation loss and gain of any trail run in the
region. During the MuddySneaker it is possible that you can encounter any or all of the
following hazards: Rocks, Roots, Snow, Ice, Crawling under logs, Crawling over logs, Stream
Crossings, Oversize chickens and other wild creatures. If you are wishing to do a 20K run and
want to compete against the clock and are hoping to set your PR you may want to look
elsewhere. If however you want to test yourself against nature and your own will to finish this is
the race for you.
This is a primitive site. Meaning there is nothing there, We bring in everything except mother
nature. There will be Port-a-John's available at the start/finish area. Please feel free to bring a
lawn chair to increase your comfort after the race.
Since we are bringing everything into the area, that means we are also bringing everything out of
the area. Please help us keep the trash to a minimum, or at least consolidated in the main area.
Water, energy drink and other salty/sugary goodies will be available at four aid stations located
at approximately miles 2.5, 6, 9, 10.5. If warm out we recommend that you carry additional fuel
as needed. Make sure you thank the people at the aid stations, they are putting in a long
sometimes cold day.
Mild medical assistance is available at each aid station. More advance medical attention is on
call. Participants are responsible for covering all cost of emergency evacuation.
Awards will be given out to overall open and master men and women and 10% deep in the following age groups for both men and women. 19 & Under 20-29 30-39 40-49 50-59 60-69 70+
